France, Macron, no intention of dissolving parliament or changing government

PARIS - French President Emmanuel Macron has no plans at the moment to dissolve parliament, change the government or hold a referendum to end the protests that have engulfed the country over the issue of pensions, reports Agence France-Presse, citing participants in the meeting at the Elysée.

Indefinite strikes against the country's pension reform began in France on 7 March, affecting almost all sectors of the economy.

"No dissolution, no reshuffle, no referendum," said one of the meeting participants. The minister present specified that we are talking about the situation "as of today".
