Pakistan-UN: focus on food security and Islamophobia

Pakistan's Foreign Minister, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, had a telephone conversation with the Secretary General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres,... to whom he conveyed Islamabad's concern over the blocking of the Black Sea grain initiative and the burning of the Koran in some European countries. This was reported by a press release from the Pakistani Foreign Ministry. Bhutto Zardari expressed his appreciation for the role played by the UN in the wheat agreement last year and asked Guterres to continue his efforts to relaunch it. Furthermore, he called for a UN-level action plan to address the phenomenon of Islamophobia. Finally, the representative of the Pakistani government thanked the United Nations for the assistance received by the country after the floods.
