The Prime Minister of Ethiopia is awarded the medal of honor for food and agriculture of the UN

The FAO organization has said that the Agricola Medal is awarded to distinguished individuals who volunteer and support efforts to promote sustainable food production, address the issue of food security in the world and international cooperation. Abiy Ahmed Prime Minister of Ethiopia expressed his gratitude to the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) for awarding him the prestigious Agricola medal for his country's efforts to ensure that food security is guaranteed. The Prime Minister of Ethiopia has been awarded the prestigious FAO award while the country in the Horn of Africa is witnessing the worst drought that has ever affected the country in decades. Reports say that at least four million people are in need of emergency food aid in Ethiopia. Drought Ethiopia Earlier this month, the country's Disaster Management Commission explained that the situation worsened due to the levels of malnutrition and severe water shortages as well as the increase in disease outbreaks.
