One Man, One War, One Diplomatic Meltdown

*"One Man, One War, One Diplomatic Meltdown"*

Since the very beginning of Israel’s occupation of Palestine, the regime has enjoyed unwavering support from Western and European powers.

Years of Hasbara campaigns and aggressive cultural diplomacy managed to paint Israel in a favorable light for many across the Western public sphere. But that narrative cracked—shattered, in fact—after October 7.

Public outrage against Israel has surged globally. And now, even among its longtime allies, fractures are beginning to surface.

Nowhere is this more evident than in France.
Recent weeks have seen an unprecedented war of words between Emmanuel Macron and Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s criticism of France’s lukewarm and increasingly divergent stance on Gaza—particularly its cautious disapproval of the ongoing genocide—has sparked diplomatic tensions between the two.

According to many analysts, Netanyahu has single-handedly undone decades of Israeli efforts—both cultural and political—to manufacture legitimacy and goodwill in the West.

What Hasbara built in seventy years, Netanyahu may well dismantle in seven months.
