*War Weariness Sparks Disobedience in the Israeli Army*
As the operation to capture Gaza City begins, a wave of disobedience has erupted within the Israeli army, led by wounded and protesting soldiers.
Over the past two years, the Israeli military has been caught in a seemingly endless war.
Young Jewish recruits, who were supposed to experience peace in the Promised Land, are being killed either by Palestinian fighters or, under the Hannibal Law, by their own army.
Even those who return alive from the battlefield must struggle with disabilities, severe injuries, or depression.
Yet, Netanyahu does not wish to discuss the end of the war.
As a result, exhausted Israeli soldiers have taken matters into their own hands, launching campaigns to refuse further military service and demanding an end to the conflict.
They see abstaining from returning to Gaza as the only right choice.
