Activists: It would be better if Trump ignores African countries

African activists have said that the foreign policy of the United States is not beneficial to the African continent and does not bring development to the continent, so if the president-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, ignores relations with Africa, it will be in the interests of the continent.

Sheriff Ghali Ibrahim, a member of the African community, told the Sputnik News Agency that due to the change in the international situation, African countries have strengthened relations with the emerging BRICS alliance.

He has said that he hopes that the President-elect of the United States, Donald Trump, will continue to ignore Africa because if the United States starts focusing its forces on the continent, then it will cause problems in the continent.

And another social activist Nathalie Yamb has supported that statement in an interview with Sputnik on the sidelines of the first meeting of the Cooperation Forum between Russia and Africa in the city of Sochi in Russia.

He said that Africa will be in a better situation if the United States focuses on Trump's policy of "making the United States Great Again", because if it does so, it will probably not have time to interfere in Africa's internal affairs.

Yamb has said that it is clear that Trump is not a friend of Africa and added that in addition to that, the Markeani government system is organized in a way that the president does not have all the powers and so there is a possibility that the United States will continue to interfere in African affairs.

During his presidency, Trump viewed Africa as a continent to be ignored or exploited when appropriate. It should be noted that when he was president, Trump used to compare African countries, Haiti, Ecuador with 'Toilet Pit'.
