African Politician: Some Arab countries are disappointed in the Palestinian issue
The politician and grandson of the former leader of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, has criticized the weak support of some Arab countries for the oppressed people of Palestine.
Zwelivelile Mandela said in an interview with the regional newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi that the weak position of the Arab countries in terms of supporting South Africa's action at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) for punishing the Zionist regime of Israel committing genocide in Gaza is a sad thing. The grandson of Nelson Mandela said, when the people of South Africa were fighting for freedom, neighboring countries like Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Swaziland, Mozambique and Botswana and all the poor countries supported the struggle of the people of South Africa. The South African politician said, Arab countries should learn from these countries and take a greater role in supporting the struggle of the Palestinian people. Zwelivelile "Mandla" Mandela explained that, Nelson Mandela was a defender of Palestine and said that "the freedom of South Africa is not complete without the freedom of Palestine". Zwelivelile Mandela South Africa's charges against the Zionist regime of Israel in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) force the violent regime to take measures to prevent the genocide in the Gaza Strip. The representative of South Africa and the country's legal team emphasized in the court session that Israel has increased the genocide of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and it must be stopped.
Zwelivelile Mandela has added that, the war in Gaza is a clear example of Western imperialism and hypocrisy, and the Western countries have not imposed sanctions against the apartheid regime of Israel, nor have they issued a warrant for the arrest of the prime minister and the executive ministers of the Zionist regime. Mandela's grandson has also pointed out Mandela's strong and historic relationship with the Palestinian cause and said: "Our freedom is incomplete without the freedom of the Palestinian people." Zwelivelile Mandela has said that their mission to defend Palestine began in the dark days of South Africa's freedom struggle, adding that: "My grandfather, Nelson Mandela, said that when he was sentenced to life imprisonment on Robben Island, he was inspired to continue fighting for freedom from and the Palestinian freedom struggle.
