A statement issued last Friday by the Palestinian groups represented in Moscow said, there will be "future negotiations" to place them under the banner of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). The Moscow meeting held on Thursday brought together the movements of Hamas, Jihadul-Islami, Fat-h and other Palestinian groups for talks to discuss the barbaric war launched by Israel against Gaza and the future of the post-war period. The meeting was held following the resignation of the Palestinian Authority Government, which is led by Fatah and is based in Ramallah in the occupied West Bank. Mohammad Shtayyeh Resigned Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh called for reconciliation within Palestine while announcing his decision, and some analysts said the events could pave the way for the formation of a technocrat government that will come to work after the war in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Gaza is led by the government of Hamas. Leaders of Arab countries and Western powers have been pushing for reforms in the government of the Palestinian Authority while discussing the possibility of starting new construction efforts in the Gaza area. The statement of the Palestinian factions has noted that the "constructive" talks on Thursday witnessed the reaching of an agreement on several issues, including the need to withdraw Israeli forces from Gaza and the creation of a Palestinian state.
