Al-Qassam battalions spokesman report: 22 soldiers of the Zionist regime have been killed
Abu Obeidah, the spokesman of the Al-Qassam Battalions, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement, on Tuesday regarding the losses of the Zionist regime forces during the past week said that during this period the fighters of this group destroyed 42 armored vehicles and killed 22 soldiers.
According to the Palestinian news agency "Sama", he also stated that during this period the resistance forces carried out 52 operations, in which dozens of other soldiers were killed and wounded. Abu Obeidah said: Al-Qassam forces in various operations targeted the occupying forces with rockets, bombs, snipers and other weapons. He added: Al-Qassam fighters, after Israeli occupation forces approached, blew up the mouths of four tunnels and a minefield and fired a surface-to-air missile at a Tel Aviv army helicopter in the sky of the Gaza Strip. Abu Obeidah added: Al-Qassam fighters in various battle axes in the Gaza Strip destroyed enemy command posts, forces and military equipment with rockets and mortars and attacked Tel Aviv several times.
A new poll, which provides insight into Arab opinion on Operation Storm al-Aqsa, shows that nearly 90 percent of Arabs see the Hamas attack against Israel as a legitimate resistance operation. The poll released Wednesday by the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies showed majority support for Hamas. The survey was based on an interview of 8,000 respondents, men and women, from 16 Arab countries. Arab public opinion did not believe that the attack was launched to pursue a foreign agenda. According to the poll, there was also an Arab consensus of 92 percent of respondents expressing solidarity with the Palestinian people. A total of 69 percent expressed solidarity with the Palestinians and support for Hamas, while 23 percent expressed solidarity with the Palestinians but opposed Hamas. Nearly 35 percent of respondents said the Israeli occupation of Palestinian territories was the most important reason for the operation. Some 24 percent attribute it to the defense of al-Aqsa Mosque against Israeli encroachments, and eight percent attribute it to the ongoing blockade of Gaza. The survey also signaled widespread frustration with the international community, particularly the United States and major European countries, which have not pushed for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in Gaza. Polls showed that most respondents viewed the US stance on Israeli aggression against besieged Gaza negatively.
