An anti-racist and anti-Israel demonstration took place in Britain
Hundreds of people took to the streets to protest against racism and apartheid in various parts of Britain. According to the AAA, participants in a rally held on Saturday in Liverpool chanted slogans against fascism, racism and in support of refugees.
Former UK Labor Party leader Jeremy Corbyn, who participated in the demonstration, tweeted: “We will not let the far right divide us. We are a huge movement that believes in a world free of war."
The demonstration came after the extremist group Alternative last week held protests against asylum seekers who were housed by the British Home Office in a hotel in Liverpool, during which they threw Molotov cocktails at the hotel building and set fire to a police van. At the same time, hundreds of students chanted "Justice" and "Down with Israel" slogans in front of University College London (UCL)
