Anti-Zionist protests in the USA
Hundreds of protesters in America at the rally condemned the US government's support for the Zionist regime's crimes against the people of Gaza.
Long-term support by the West, especially the United States, for the Zionist regime has led to a sharp increase in Israeli criminal actions against the Palestinian people, especially during the recent Gaza War. Hundreds of protesters took to the streets of New York on Sunday to demand a permanent ceasefire in Gaza and an end to US President Joe Biden's military support for the Zionist regime, according to CNN. Protesters with clenched fists chanted "Let Gaza live" and some had the slogan "Cease fire now" written on their T-shirts. Protesters blocked the Manhattan Bridge for two hours, according to the NYPD. According to this report, a woman and two men were arrested during this demonstration. Jay Saper, one of the Jewish participants at the demonstration, speaking about sending American weapons to Israel, said business could not continue as usual while thousands of Palestinians were trapped under rubble.
He added: “We have gathered to raise our voices for a permanent and sustainable ceasefire. The majority of Americans are with us, the polls show that.” This Jewish protester added: “In our opinion, there is no military solution. The cause of violence is oppression. First, we must address the 75 years of Israeli apartheid, and then the 16 years of suffering and siege of the people of Gaza.” “We are here to say that the occupation is completely wrong. She is completely criminal. They use the Jewish religion to justify their crimes. Judaism is a religion, but Zionism is a political movement, and this genocide and all the atrocities are not in my name and my religion,” said Yitzhak Deutsch, a member of New York's Orthodox Jewish community who also participated in the demonstration.
