Azerbaijan confirms the direction of militarization

The bill "On the State Budget of Azerbaijan for 2025" envisages the strengthening of the military potential as one of the main expenditure items.

As APA reports, this was announced at the joint session of 4 parliamentary committees: legal policy and state-building, defense, security and anti-corruption, human rights and regional issues. .

He noted that the bill envisages an increase in funds for defense and national security to 8.4 billion manats (about $4,941,174,000), which is 1.3 billion manats more than in 2024.

Armenia conducts "policy of militarization and arms race", which poses a threat to regional peace and security. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev made such a claim at the meeting with the delegation of US congressmen.

He added that in order to sign a peace treaty, it is important to put an end to territorial claims against Azerbaijan in the Constitution of Armenia.
