Biden's confession: Israel's reaction in Gaza was excessive
Early Friday morning, the US president admitted in a statement that Israel's military operation in Gaza in response to October 7 was "excessive."

In the more than four months since the Gaza war, America has been Israel's main supporter . Nearly 28 thousand Palestinians were martyred in this war and tens of thousands were injured. Approximately 80% of the population of this strip is also displaced . Joe Biden also claimed earlier Friday that the United States is working hard to reach a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel . Claiming that he was in contact with the Qataris to send humanitarian aid to Gaza, Biden said, "People in Gaza urgently need humanitarian aid . " Biden also claimed that he met with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and pressured him to send humanitarian aid to Gaza .
