BRICS plans to create an integrated scientometric database

The 12th meeting of BRICS ministers of science, technology and innovation was held in Moscow with the participation of representatives of China, Russia, India, Brazil, South Africa, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Ethiopia.

Last week, Russia hosted the 12th meeting of ministers of science, technology and innovation of BRICS member countries. At this meeting, which was hosted by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia, Dmitry Falkov, the heads of the delegations of the countries clarified their priorities in the field of science, technology and innovation in the direction of the development of scientific and innovative cooperation.

Valery Falkov, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, emphasized at this meeting that the field of technology is one of the most dynamic areas of cooperation expansion in BRICS and announced that BRICS member countries plan to create an integrated scientific and metric database.

Sajjad Ahadzadeh, head of the Cooperation Center for the Development and Progress of the Islamic Republic of Iran, as the representative of Iran for cooperation with the BRICS group in the field of technology and innovation, in his speech at this meeting spoke about nanotechnology, biotechnology, energy, renewable energy, water resources, marine economy, food security, artificial intelligence and ranked digital economy sectors among Iran's priority directions for cooperation with the BRICS group.

According to the BRICS television company, the focus of the participants of this meeting was the development of artificial intelligence and digital services, guaranteeing cyber security and improving access to information technologies.
