Carnage in Gaza: Palestinian death toll surpasses 2,600

At least 2,670 Palestinians have been killed and another 9,600 injured as the Israeli regime continues its bombing campaign against residential neighborhoods in the battered Gaza Strip. In a statement released yesterday, on the evening of Sunday 15 October, the Gaza Ministry of Health said that 750 children were among the victims of Israeli bombings on the besieged enclave. Ashraf al-Qudra, spokesperson for the ministry, said that the brutal Israeli attacks target residential neighborhoods, destroying homes "over the heads of residents." Rescue operations in Gaza "are facing great difficulties" due to the massive destruction of residential neighborhoods and roads leading to hospitals, he added.
