China: America is the world's biggest security threat

An official from China's military ministry recently accused the United States of being the world's leading security risk and source of worldwide instability.

In response to the Pentagon's assessment of China's military strength, Zhang Xiaogang stated, "Washington’s military strategy is becoming increasingly aggressive, the United States has already become the biggest threat to global security."

A statement posted on the department's website states that the US military strategy is become more aggressive, confrontational, and adventurous based on the facts. "The United States, addicted to wars, has become the biggest destroyer of the international order and the biggest threat to global security."

Prior to its submission to the US Congress for review, the Pentagon released its yearly assessment on the military strength of China. The US has presumed in the paper that China can deploy more than a thousand nuclear warheads by 2030. According to Washington, China's nuclear arsenal would have over 600 warheads by 2024.

According to a report from the US defense department, the PLA Navy has grown to become the biggest in the world. Pentagon assessments place China's hypersonic weapon arsenal at a "world-leading" level, and the paper asserts that Beijing spends "40-90% more" on the military than it openly acknowledges.
