CIA Analyst: Zelensky to Coup by Ukrainian Military
A former analyst for the United States Intelligence Service, the CIA, said that because of the dissatisfaction within the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the eastern front, it is likely that in the next three or four weeks the President of Ukraine will be put to a coup. Larry Johnson, Wednesday (30/8/2023) as quoted by Russia Today said, "A defeat on the battlefield could push the Armed Forces of Ukraine, turn against President Volodymyr Zelensky." He added, "Due to the acute discontent among the Ukrainian army, on the eastern front, it is likely that Zelensky, will be overthrown via coup in the next three or four weeks." The eastern region of Ukraine, is the location of the country's counter-attack operation against Russian troops, which began in early June. The counterattack was carried out by Western-trained troops, using NATO tanks and armored vehicles, but so far has achieved nothing but loss of life and heavy losses for Kiev. Larry Johnson is not the first US analyst to predict the defiance of Ukrainian troops against Zelensky. Early in January 2023, former US Navy intelligence officer Scott Ritter said each Ukrainian troop division destroyed would increase the chances of a military coup. (HS)
