According to Aleem, the New York Times reported on CIA Director William Burns' secret trip to Kiev, the capital of Ukraine, last Thursday.

According to this newspaper, this is the CIA chief's 10th visit to Ukraine since the start of the Ukrainian war in February 2022.

The trip comes as the U.S. Congress is deadlocked over disagreements with the White House over approving more financial aid to the Ukrainian military. Burns's visit to Ukraine is likely to ensure the continuation of Washington's financial and arms aid to Kiev.

Volodymyr Zelsenky admitted in a recent speech that the Ukrainian army is experiencing a serious shortage of ammunition and weapons in the field of artillery defense systems.

The Ukrainian army recently had to withdraw from the strategic city of Aviduka and many other points against the Russian army.
