Thanks to the great efforts of both Russia and Brazil, we manage to maintain [trade] flow,” the Brazilian diplomat emphasized after the completion of the Russia-Brazil business dialogue. ". According to him, the problems associated with payments, insurance and freight, create uncertainty and "delay decisions a little." All this, according to Guimaraes Requiao, affects the price.


In this regard, the diplomat noted that "Russia is the main seller of fertilizers for Brazil's agriculture," and the second is the seller of food for the whole world. "Therefore, for a world in need of cheaper food, maintaining, expanding and strengthening the flow of Russian fertilizers to Brazil should be a global priority," the attaché said.
He also stressed that last year the highest trade turnover in recent years was recorded between the two countries. "For the first time, we have managed to approach the $10 billion target for bilateral trade. So we do have difficulties, but obviously the situation requires emergency measures," he said.
