Cuba, Colombia and Bolivia welcome Brazilian president's statement condemning Israel's actions
The presidents of Cuba, Colombia , Bolivia welcomed the Brazilian president's statement condemning Israel's actions.
During the international meeting of leftist movements held in Havana, which was attended by representatives of 35 countries, Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel appeared wearing a chafiey (a headscarf worn by Palestinians). He welcomed the statement of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on expressing sympathy for the Palestinians and condemning the crimes of Israel, as well as condemning the crimes committed by the regime in the Gaza Strip. The president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, in a post on the X social network, also expressed solidarity with Da Silva and wrote: "The Zionist regime is committing genocide in Gaza, and thousands of Palestinian children, women and the elderly are being brutally killed. The president of Brazil spoke the truth, which must be defended, otherwise barbarism will destroy us." The president of Bolivia, Luis Arce, expressed his solidarity with Da Silva in a post on the X social network, and wrote: "The president of Brazil told the truth about the genocide of brave Palestinians by the Zionist regime. History will not forgive those who are indifferent to this crime." Last Sunday, in a speech at the African Union meeting in Addis Ababa, the capital of Ethiopia, the Brazilian president compared Israel's genocide in Gaza to the actions of Nazi Germany and the "Holocaust" (the Zionist claim about the actions carried out by Nazi Germany against Hera during the Second World War).
