Cuban President: US is Israel's partner in Palestinian genocide
The President of Cuba called the United States an accomplice and partner of the Zionist regime in the genocide of the Palestinians.
In response to the US veto of the UN Security Council resolution on the Gaza Strip, Miguel Díaz-Canel Bermúdez wrote on social media: “The US has once again vetoed a UN Security Council resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the forced displacement of Palestinians. They - accomplices of Israel's genocide against Palestine."
At the same time, John Kirby, coordinator for strategic communications at the White House National Security Council, justifying the US actions, said that voting for this resolution would jeopardize negotiations in Cairo on a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
Kirby said this at a time when he reaffirms the US dual policy on human rights, because after more than four months of hostilities in the Gaza Strip, the US has not only taken no practical action to stop the crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, but vetoed three resolutions that called on other countries to suspend the war and establish a ceasefire.
Although the number of Palestinian martyrs has reached more than 29 thousand since the start of the Zionist regime's army aggression in the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, the support of Western countries and the United States has led to the Zionist regime increasing the speed of its war killing machine, and without paying attention to fundamental principles human rights continues genocide.
