EuroMed Rights: Trump's plan is to support Genocide against the Palestinian people

A Europe-Middle East human rights group has expressed its deep concern over Donald Trump's recent proposal to relocate Gaza residents to Egypt and Jordan, calling for strong regional and international opposition to the idea.

The human rights group EuroMed Rights has expressed its grave concern over US President Donald Trump's proposal to completely clear the Gaza Strip and relocate the Palestinians in the area to Jordan and Egypt, saying: "Palestinians, who are currently suffering from Israel's plans to annihilate them, should not have to pay the highest price for this genocide by being forcibly displaced from their homeland."

Citing the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibiting the forcible transfer of people living in occupied territories, EuroMed Rights stressed that: "The implementation of the plan violates the right of the Palestinian people to remain in their own land, constitutes a crime against humanity and a war crime."

The human rights group's statement also says: "Israel, as the aggressor, is the only institution that should accept moral and legal responsibility for the crimes it committed in the Gaza Strip, pay compensation to the Palestinians and rebuild the area as soon as possible."

The EuroMed Rights statement said: There is an urgent need for a regional and international stance against Trump's proposal to expel and relocate the residents of the Gaza Strip.
