Former US Attorney General expressed concern about Trump's arrival in the White House
The former US attorney general, voicing concerns about Trump's hard-line governing style, predicted his next possible presidential term would focus on political vendettas against Democrats and abuses of power. According to the CNN news agency, William Barr, who left the White House in 2020, asked members of Donald Trump's possible future cabinet to learn from the bitter experiences of him and his colleagues in the previous administration and not to be his toys if Trump is elected President of the United States again. The US official also stressed that those appointed as attorney general in a possible future Trump administration must stand up to his abuse of government power. "One of the reasons I'm against Trump is I don't think he can move the country forward," the former US attorney general said, noting that Trump's second term would not be productive. Since his ouster, William Barr has been a constant critic of Trump and has not supported his 2024 Republican nomination. He called on American Republican voters to support the candidacy of the country's former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley. Trump's cabinet has seen the most changes of any previous American administration, and many of his cabinet members have been replaced during Trump's four-year presidency. Dozens of former members of Donald Trump's cabinet are refusing to publicly support his bid to run for the White House again.
