Ismail Haniyeh, head of the Political Bureau of Hamas, reiterated the organization's commitment to defending the rights of Palestinians against what he describes as the oppressive actions of the "Zionist regime." In his recent statements, Haniyeh emphasized that the Palestinian resistance will not surrender and will continue to fight against what he calls the crimes committed by Israel in places like Nusirat and Deir Al Balah.
Haniyeh criticized the idea that the Israeli occupation could impose its will on the Palestinian people and asserted that Hamas will reject any agreement that does not ensure the security of Palestinians. He claimed that the Israeli forces have been defeated militarily and are witnessing a political and moral collapse, urging the international community to take action against what he views as ongoing martyrdom of Palestinians.
Haniyeh also accused Israel of causing the deaths of over 15,000 Palestinian children in its attacks on the Gaza Strip, suggesting that this accounts for about 40% of the total Palestinian martyrs.
