Imam Khamenei: Arrest warrant for Netanyahu is not enough; a death sentence should be issued

In a meeting with the Iranian Basij volunteer force, Ayatollah Khamenei stated: The preferred approach for the United States to secure its interests in the region is to create 'dictatorship and despotism' or 'chaos and anarchy' in countries."

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution, addressing thousands of Basij members from various sectors of Iranian society, emphasized that the Basij ideology and thought are based on two pillars: "faith in God" and "self-belief."

The Leader stated: "These two distinguished qualities will be the decisive factor in overcoming the policies and plans of global arrogance."

Referring to its enduring nature due to its roots in Iran's historical and national identity, Ayatollah Khamenei described the Basij as a cultural, social, and military network and stated: "About three weeks after the capture of the American spy den (US embassy in Tehran before the Islamic Revolution) and the show of force by the United States, Imam Khomeini (God bless his soul) formed the Basij on November 26, 1979, turning that major threat into a great opportunity and planting this blessed tree (Basij) in the social, cultural, and military soil of the country."

According to Pars Today, the Leader pointed out that denying the capabilities of nations and humiliating them are consistent policies of the dominant powers and added: "Based on the Quranic verses, Pharaoh humiliated and belittled his own people to make them obey him.

However, Pharaoh was more noble than today's rulers of America and Europe, as they humiliate other nations to plunder their resources and interests."

Imam Khamenei described the Basij as the opposite of this national humiliation. Referring to the humiliation of Iran, particularly during the Qajar and Pahlavi eras, the Leader stated:

“After World War I, Iran’s delegation was not even allowed to attend the Paris Conference. However, the Islamic Revolution turned the tide and restored national dignity.”

The Leader of the Islamic Revolution highlighted the neutralization of the U.S.'s malicious plot in the late 2000s regarding the supply of 20% enriched uranium as an example of the Basij spirit and stated: "When Iran urgently needed 20% enriched uranium for medical purposes, the Americans, despite an agreement brokered by two well-known presidents of that time, began to deceive during the negotiations. However, Iranian Basiji scientists, including Martyr Shahriari, produced the 20% enriched uranium, much to the surprise of the Americans, and thwarted the plot designed to force Iran into submission."

Imam Khamenei emphasized that awareness of the U.S.'s plans for the region and standing against them is another factor in strengthening the Basij politically and stated:

“The preferred approach for the United States to secure its interests in the region is to create 'dictatorship and despotism' or 'chaos and anarchy' in countries.”

Ayatollah Khamenei also referred to the current issues in Palestine and Lebanon, stating: "Those fools should not think that bombing homes, hospitals, and gatherings of people is a sign of their victory; no one in the world considers this a victory."

The Leader of the Revolution stressed that despite all the war crimes, the enemy has not and will not achieve victory in Gaza and Lebanon and added:

“The arrest warrant issued for Netanyahu is not enough; a death sentence for him and these criminal leaders should be issued.”

He described the crimes of the Zionist regime in Gaza and Lebanon as, contrary to the desires of the perpetrators, a cause for strengthening and intensifying resistance. He added: “When a brave young Palestinian or Lebanese individual, regardless of their background, sees that whether they are on the battlefield or not, they face bombardment and the threat of death, they see no option but to fight and resist. Therefore, the foolish criminals are, in fact, expanding the front of resistance with their own actions.”

Ayatollah Khamenei described the expansion of the resistance front as an absolute necessity and an inevitable process and emphasized: "The resistance front has grown significantly today; and will expand many times more in the future."
