Amnesty International has accused Israel of committing a deliberate and flagrant genocide against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
"Amnesty International's investigation has found sufficient evidence to conclude that Israel has committed and continues to commit genocide against Palestinians in the occupied Gaza Strip... unleashing hell and destruction, and doing so brazenly, continuously and with complete impunity," the organization said in a statement.
According to Amnesty International, Israel is blatantly "committing acts prohibited by the Genocide Convention with the specific intent to destroy Palestinians in the Gaza Strip."
According to Amnesty International Secretary General Agnes Callamard, the organization's "reprehensible revelations should serve as a wake-up call to the international community."
"States that continue to supply weapons to Israel should know that they are violating their obligations to prevent genocide and may be complicit in this crime. All countries with influence over Israel, especially the US, UK, EU members and others, must act immediately to stop Israel's atrocities against Palestinians in Gaza," he said.
Amnesty International also noted that during the investigation, the organization's staff "interviewed 212 people, conducted field research and analyzed a wide range of video and digital evidence, including satellite imagery."
