The war between Russia and Ukraine began in February 2022 and continues to this day. The United States and Western countries have so far imposed sweeping sanctions against Moscow and its allies and sent tens of billions of dollars worth of weapons and military equipment to Kyiv. Meanwhile, the consequences of these sanctions and the costs of the war have put great pressure on the economy of Ukraine supporters. Britain's Foreign Office said in a statement on Friday that London had added 17 more sanctions against Belarus. According to the report, among the assets subject to sanctions are judges of various courts, including members of the Supreme Court Valentina Kulik and Igor Lobovitsky, as well as employees of the prosecutor's office. These sanctions are aimed at supporting the opposition of the Minsk government. Earlier, London introduced a list of sanctions against Belarus and tried to prevent Russia from circumventing the sanctions. Britain also announced on Wednesday it would impose sanctions on foreign individuals and entities that supply equipment and parts needed by Russia for military purposes.
