Managing the Crisis: Biden's Desperate Efforts to Prevent War from Expanding as Operation Al-Aqsa Storm Progresses.

Since its illegitimate establishment in 1948, Israel has relied on the United States for protection in the West Asia region. However, the potential withdrawal of this strategic shield has sparked significant apprehension among Zionist policymakers. Israeli think tanks, along with their counterparts in the US, have concluded that any shift by the US away from West Asia would ultimately lead to the downfall of Israel.

In recent years, the United States has actively worked towards normalizing relations between Arab monarchies and Israel, a move that has had a profound impact on the regional and extra-regional landscape. This development has served as a catalyst for geopolitical change in the region, prompting the Iran-led Axis of Resistance to intensify its struggle against the Israeli regime.

In spite of Washington’s significant military and security presence in the region, the anti-Israeli axis has not weakened but has, in fact, grown stronger. Today, the Axis of Resistance has become a unified force of nations opposing Israeli hegemony and consistently emerges victorious in recent conflicts.

As a result, the costs to the United States for supporting Israel have increased, and the country can exacerbate the already rising waves of anti-American sentiment among West Asian nations. The recent assassinations of resistance figures, such as General Qasem Soleimani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, have further accelerated this process.

Meanwhile, when analyzing the positions, approaches, and speeches of US officials in relation to recent events, it is crucial to adopt a realistic and forward-looking perspective.Currently, Palestinian resistance groups have managed to disrupt the defense and security systems of the Israeli regime, leading to the magnificent Operation 'Al-Aqsa Storm.'

On the first day of the conflict between Hamas and Israel, the United States wasted no time in expressing its full support for Israel. US Defense Minister Lloyd Austin announced the deployment of the USS Gerald R. Ford aircraft carrier to the Eastern Mediterranean to bolster Israel's vulnerable position. Austin also stated that the United States would deploy well-equipped forces to enhance deterrence in the region, if necessary. Additionally, he emphasized that the Biden administration would swiftly provide additional equipment and military resources to Israeli forces.

Analyzing these statements, it becomes evident that President Biden aims to prevent the escalation of the conflict between Israel and Palestine into other parts of West Asia. With the United States already engaged on other fronts, it seeks to avoid incurring additional costs. The existence of the Israeli regime has always been a vital concern for the United States, as its hostile policies are an attempt to create deterrence against Iran and its allies. Furthermore, the US aims to prevent other actors, such as Iran and Hezbollah, from entering the war against Israel.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken commented on Iran's role in the conflict, stating that despite the longstanding bond between Hamas and Tehran, there is no tangible evidence linking Iran to the onslaught by Hamas forces against Israel. Washington is actively working to prevent the involvement of other actors, including Lebanese Hezbollah, in this conflict.

These comments suggest that while media propaganda may attempt to place blame on Iran, American policymakers are aware that the Axis of Resistance currently holds the upper hand in this conflict. The United States does not desire the involvement of third parties and seeks to manage the situation through pacifying approaches and placating speeches. The provision of weapons to Israel is aimed at minimizing the risk of the crisis spreading to American interests in the region.

The response of the Zionist regime and other actors supporting Tel Aviv in the coming days remains uncertain. It remains to be seen whether the United States will be able to effectively manage the unfolding developments or be forced into another complicated situation tied to the sinking ship called Israel.
