Mufti of Oman: Striving for the Liberation of Al-Aqsa is a duty for all Muslims
The Grand Mufti of Oman has once again emphasized the importance of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the city of Quds (Jerusalem) which is occupied by the illegal Israeli regime and said that liberating it is the responsibility of all Muslims in the world.
Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamad Al Khalili said this in his latest post on the X network, formerly known as Twitter. He said that as the first Qibla in Islam and the place where the Holy Prophet (PBUH) started Mi'raj (ascension to heaven), Al-Aqsa has great importance and value. He said that every Muslim must take steps towards the liberation of Palestine, which is a sacred duty. The scholar has said that due to the occupation of the holy city of al-Quds for several decades, Muslims in different parts of the world have been denied the opportunity to visit the mosque and pray there. He also said that because of the cultural and ideological sabotage of the West, some Muslims may have forgotten their right to reach this holy place. Al-Aqsa Mosque Mufti Al Khalili added that some media outlets have been used (by the enemies of Islam) to convince Muslims that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is an issue related to the Palestinians only. However, he noted, the Al-Aqsa Hurricane Operation initiated by the resistance forces of Gaza, reminded all Muslims of their responsibilities. The Mufti of Oman went on to say that now is the time for Muslims to put aside their differences and strive to restore their rights in solidarity.
