The leader of the Iraqi movement, Sadr, appealed to Arab countries and Iran to break the blockade of the Gaza Strip and deliver water and food to its population. According to the Baghdad al-Yaum news site, Sayyed Muqtada al-Sadr sent a message to Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt, in which he condemned the aggression of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip, which intensified after Operation Al-Aqsa Storm. He said: “Arab and Islamic countries, led by Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iran, must work to provide water and food to the population of the Republic of Gaza.” Muqatada Sadr added: “The return of Quds and the occupied lands is in our hands, and the Palestinian resistance has humiliated the Zionist regime.”

In another section, the leader of Sadra's movement emphasized: "In these human matters there is no difference between Sunni and Shia Muslims and even Christians." He also criticized the failure of the Palestinian Authority led by Mahmoud Abbas to play the necessary role. Praising the majestic procession of the Iraqi people in support of Palestine, the leader of Sadra's movement noted that he would take off his turban and work in the fighting ranks until help arrived in Gaza. Al-Sadr called on the Iraqi people to hold a million-strong demonstration in Baghdad on Friday in support of the Gaza Strip.
