In response to recent insults to the Holy Quran in Sweden, the Lebanese Hezbollah secretary-general said on Saturday evening: "Our response position must be formulated in severing diplomatic relations with the Swedish government." According to the AAA, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah added: "We should not be deceived by apologies, and Iraq's decision to recall its ambassador from Sweden was the most important initiative at the official level."

Hezbollah's general secretary also remarked, "If Sweden continues with this approach, it will be labeled under Islamic Sharia as a country at war with Islam and Muslims." Nasrallah added, "If the assessment that the Mossad is behind what happened in Sweden is correct, we are facing a movement that will continue and requires a strong public and official position."

He added: “The Swedish government should pay close attention to Ayatollah Khamenei’s words about condemning those who insult the Koran, especially the phrase “a government that has taken a militant stance against Islam.” Meanwhile, the Lebanese Foreign Ministry has called on the Swedish authorities to take the necessary measures to prevent the spread of Islamophobia, racism and hatred.

In turn, Nasser Kanani, spokesman for the Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also stated that from the point of view of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Danish government is responsible for preventing insults to the Holy Quran and Islamic shrines, as well as for prosecuting and punishing violators, and in this regard, the public opinion of the Islamic world is waiting for the practical actions of the Danish government. ii, as an act of hatred and a manifestation of islamophobia

In a statement, Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid called on citizens, political parties, religious and social activists to be careful not to fall into the trap of a seditious plan prepared by vindictive individuals and factions in Western countries. The Politburo of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement also called for pressure on Islamic governments to take a similar position.

In condemnation of the repeated desecration of the Holy Quran, mass demonstrations were held in Sweden, Iraq, Lebanon, Iran and Bahrain against this heinous act. Many other countries, such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, also expressed their protest against this action, summoning ambassadors and charge d'affaires of the Swedish embassy. On Friday, members of the Islamophobic and far-right nationalist group Dansk Patriot burned the Holy Quran in front of the Iraqi embassy and in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark.

On Thursday, Silvan Momika, an Iraqi-Swedish citizen just a few weeks after he burned pages of scripture near a mosque in Stockholm, again insulted the Holy Quran. Islamic countries, which condemned the mockery of the Holy Quran, summoned Swedish ambassadors and heads of diplomatic missions in these countries to the Foreign Ministry.
