Niger stops the French program that humiliates African women
The military government of Niger has banned a program broadcast by a French television channel emphasizing that the program is a threat to the values of the West African country.
The Central Communications Council of Niger has said in a statement that it has banned the program 'The Bachelor' which was aired by Canal Plus of France, explaining that it humiliates and stigmatizes an African woman.
It has been made clear that the film does not respect the borders or protect the youth generation of the West African nation. The Central Communications Council of Niger has said it has banned the show because it spreads and promotes corruption issues, something that tramples on the values, culture, traditions and customs of the country.
Also in the past, the government of Niger has suspended in the country the broadcasts of French radio RFI and television France 24 sponsored by the government of Paris, allegedly for broadcasting false news and distortions.
This comes a few days after the military government of Mali banned the French television channel LCI from broadcasting for two months due to what was said to be a distortion about the security situation in the West African country.
