The New York Times, Wednesday (13/12/2023) reported that analysts believe that the concrete steps taken by Ansarullah Yemen, in supporting Palestine, have created regional influence that can increase their power at home. He added that the people of the Middle East praised Yemen's Ansarullah as the only regional power willing to attack Israel, and not just issue statements in helping Palestine. "What Ansarullah did has increased our self-esteem, because this step was taken at a time when all parties did nothing, and just watched," said Khaled Nujaim, one of the workers at a medical equipment supply company in Sanaa, Yemen. According to the NY Times, Ansarullah launched attacks on Israel, and its ships in the Red Sea, as a form of support for the 2.2 million Palestinians, who are bombarded and blockaded in Gaza. Senior Research Fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies, Tel Aviv University, Yoel Guzansky, said the support had transformed Ansarullah, from a local and regional force, into a global force. Meanwhile Ahmad Nagi, discovered the fact that the Yemeni people, are now proud because he comes from that country, and always talks about the courage of Ansarullah (Houthi). "This is a very deep reflection of public opinion in Arab countries today," added the senior Yemen analyst at the International Crisis Group. At the same time, Ahmad Nagi admitted that he was concerned because people no longer trusted the government, and trusted more in non-state actors such as Ansarullah, which was the only hope in fighting Western hegemony.
