Palestinian Islamic Jihad's call for a national uprising in support of Palestinian prisoners held by the Zionist regime
After the publication of news about the deterioration of the condition of the commander of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, Sheikh Khidr Adnan, who was imprisoned in the prisons of the Zionist regime, Ahmad al-Mudallil, a member of the Politburo of the Islamic Jihad Movement of Palestine, called for an uprising of the Palestinian people in support of the prisoners in the prisons of the Zionist regime.
On February 5, the Zionist regime captured Khidr Adnan, one of the leaders of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad movement, and he has since gone on an indefinite hunger strike to protest his arbitrary detention. Ahmad al-Mudallil said on Sunday: "Hundreds of sick Palestinian prisoners in the prisons of the occupying regime are at risk of gradual death as a result of the criminal negligence of doctors," AAA news agency reported.
He also recalled that the actions of the invaders against Sheikh Khidr Adnan are nothing more than a desperate attempt to break the will of the fighting prisoners. His statements came after the Center for Palestinian Prisoners warned in a statement on Sunday of the possible martyrdom of Sheikh Khidr Adnan, who has been on a hunger strike for 71 days. The center said in a statement that Sheikh Adnan's health has reached a dangerous stage and he is on the verge of martyrdom.
The Waid Association for the Support of Palestinian Captives also stated that Sheikh Khidr Adnan could die as a martyr at any moment. In its statement, the association added that the Zionist occupation regime keeps Sheikh Adnan out of legal and media attention, and his situation is unsatisfactory. The Waid Association warned of the consequences of any crime against Sheikh Khidr Adnan.
