A senior leader of the Palestinian Islamic Struggle Movement (HAMAS) has said that the people of Palestine will decide their future after the war in Gaza and they will not have their affairs planned by the invading Zionists.

According to the Arab news agency, Osama Hamdan said this after a meeting between the high-level delegation of HAMAS and the Secretary General of Lebanon's Hezbollah, Sayyid Hassan Nasrullah.

Osama Hamdan added that his meeting with Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah is part of a series of regular meetings between Hizbullah and Hamas leaders and they have discussed three basic issues.

The leader of HAMAS said this in an interview with Al-Jadeed television and added that, their session discussed the events in Gaza, the political position regarding regional events due to the ongoing crimes committed by the Zionist regime as well as the political efforts made by the circles various ways to stop these crimes, including the recent talks in Cairo, Egypt.

He has also responded to claims made by Israeli officials about Gaza and said that the Palestinians themselves will decide their future, not the invaders.

Hamdan's remarks came after the media of the Zionist administration claimed that Israel intends to entrust the operation of the Gaza Strip to the hands of Majid Faraj, the head of the Intelligence Agency of the Palestinian Authority. The agencies have also claimed that Faraj will create a military force that will oversee the security of the Gaza Strip, a provocative claim that has been strongly opposed by Palestinian resistance groups.
