Philippines, ferry shipwrecks: 26 dead

The death toll from a shipwreck in the Philippines where a ferry capsized in Laguna de Bay, in the province of Rizal, is at least 26 dead. According to rescuers, the boat capsized just 46 meters from shore after people spooked by strong winds drifted to one side of the vessel. It's unclear how many people were on board the ship: the coast guard rescued 40.
