After nearly 6 months of war in the Gaza Strip, the immediate ceasefire decision in the Gaza Strip was approved by the United Nations Security Council on Monday, March 25, 2024. Ensuring a sustainable ceasefire

14 out of 15 members of the United Nations Security Council voted in favor of the resolution proposed by the non-permanent members of this council to declare an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, and the United States, a permanent member of this council, abstained. Thus, the ceasefire decision was approved in the Gaza Strip.

The immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and guaranteeing humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip are among the articles of this decision.

Resolutions previously proposed by other countries had twice failed with a veto vote from the United States; Thus, the Zionist occupying regime, with the help of its long-time supporter Washington, continued its genocidal operation against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

The Zionist genocidal regime has launched a massive massacre against the defenseless and oppressed Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip with the full support of the USA and Western countries since October 7, 2023.

Since the beginning of the Zionist regime's attacks on the Gaza Strip, 32 thousand 782 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have been martyred and 75 thousand 298 Palestinians have been injured.
