Qatar's criticism of Israel; New record of journalists killed in Gaza

The fifth month of the war of the Zionist regime of Israel against the people of the Gaza Strip is coming to an end. This war has been accompanied by the genocide of the Zionist regime against the people of Gaza. Journalists are among the groups that have been targeted by the brutality of the Zionist regime of Israel. The regime has killed 127 journalists in the past five months of its attacks in Gaza. Statistics show that Israel has been killing one Palestinian journalist almost every day. Israel's attacks on journalists and media representatives began from the very first days of the regime's military occupation of Gaza. According to a report by international organizations, in the first month of the Zionist attacks in Gaza, at least 39 journalists were killed, which is more than double the number of journalists who lost their lives in the one and a half year war between Russia and Ukraine; As a result, the period was named the "worst month for journalists" in the year 2023. The Committee to Protect Journalists also reported that "the number of journalists killed in the first month of Israel's war against the people of Gaza was higher than the number of journalists killed in any other conflict in the first month of the war, since started this committee's work in 1992." Anthony Bellanger, Secretary General of the International Federation of Journalists, has told the international media that: "I can say that in wars like Syria, Iraq and the former Yugoslavia we have not seen this kind of killing of journalists as happened in Gaza ."

Crime against journalists is recognized as a war crime according to international law, and the deliberate targeting of journalists and civilians has been declared a war crime. The laws also emphasize that journalists should be allowed to work freely and be given protection to carry out their duties without undue interference in all disputes. Another issue and point is that the international community, apart from remaining silent against the killings carried out by the brutal Israeli regime in Gaza, has ignored the Israeli killings against journalists who have no role in the war and fighting except to quote the world pictures and news of what is happening. In that stream, the Minister of International Cooperation of Qatar, Lolwah Al-Khater, has described the Israeli attacks against the people of Gaza as "genocide of children" and said: The  war in Gaza has exposed the hypocrisy and duplicitous policies of the West to the whole world . The Minister of International Cooperation of Qatar added that: The Israeli army has violated all human rights laws of the United Nations treaties and documents. Thousands of children have been killed in Israeli attacks in Gaza We should explain here that the main reason for Israel's rampant crimes against journalists is to prevent the writing of news of the genocide carried out by the regime in Gaza. Israel has tried to prevent journalists from reporting on the events of the war by using killings, intimidation and fear-mongering, but it was unsuccessful in this matter. Well, it is the reports of these journalists that continue to reveal and expose the ongoing crimes committed by the administration in front of the eyes of the world public.
