Recent developments in Gaza
The increase in the number of martyrs in the Gaza Strip, the continued attack by the Zionist military on the Gaza Strip, the retaliatory attacks by the resistance against the crimes of the Zionist regime, and the artillery attacks by the Zionist regime on the border areas of Lebanon are among the most important developments in the Gaza Strip.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported in its latest statistics that the Zionist regime's war against the people of Gaza killed 5,000 people, including 1,756 children and 976 women. The Palestinian Ministry of Health also reported that the number of wounded was at least 14,000. According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip, 70% of the casualties in Israeli army attacks on the Gaza Strip are women, children and the elderly. The Zionist military attacked the camps of Beit, Barqa, Qasr, Yatma and Balata in Nablus, the city of Rantis, located in the cities of Ramallah, Ariha and Al-Bir, as well as the Aqaba Jabr camp and began mass arrests of Palestinians.
Also, Zionist regime army fighters attacked various areas of the Gaza Strip, including the town of Al-Janina in the east of the city of Rafah and another town in the center of the city of Khan Yunus in the south of the Gaza Strip. The Zionist regime's army also attacked the town of Ya'aron and several villages in southern Lebanon with phosphorus bombs. As a result of the Zionist regime's drone attack on the suburbs of the town of Shabaa, 4 Lebanese resistance fighters were martyred. The Lebanese resistance movement Hezbollah announced in a statement on Sunday morning that with the martyrdom of two more of its fighters during the Zionist regime's attacks on southern Lebanon, the number of Hezbollah martyrs in the past two weeks has reached 19.
The International Committee to Protect Journalists announced that as of October 20, at least 22 journalists had been killed among more than 4,000 casualties since the conflict between Palestinians and the Zionist regime began. In response to Zionist crimes against Palestinian civilians, the Al-Qassam Battalions, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (HAMAS), fired rockets at Tel Aviv, Rishon Lezion, Gush Dan and several other occupied areas. Ezzeddine al-Qassam's battalions destroyed a Zionist regime tank in the east of Khan Yunus. Hamas member Osame Hamdan demanded the permanent opening of the Rafah checkpoint, as well as the continuous delivery of food to the Gaza Strip. Hamdan demanded that fuel be immediately sent to the Gaza Strip so that hospitals do not turn into mass graves.
On the other hand, Al-Manar TV reported that the Zionist regime admitted that 3 soldiers of the regime's army were wounded by anti-tank missiles fired from Lebanon. In a statement, the Lebanese Islamic Resistance said that as a result of the attack by Islamic Resistance fighters, some technical equipment and machinery at the Al-Abad base was destroyed. Another Hezbollah statement said Islamic Resistance fighters struck the Zionist Hanitha base with a guided missile. The Lebanese Hezbollah movement highlighted by issuing a statement that Zionist infantry forces stationed at the Khonin (Ramim) headquarters were attacked, resulting in several injuries.
The statement added that a Humvee vehicle was targeted by a guided missile in the area of Dhofifa's headquarters, killing and wounding several Zionists. This resistance movement also stated that it launched rockets and suitable weapons against Zionist positions in Roisat al-Alam, located in the occupied fields of Shab'a and the heights of Kafr Shoba. Hezbollah Deputy Secretary General Sheikh Naim Qasim said in a speech: "Our current operation on the southern borders is a phase appropriate to the current situation and conflicts, and if necessary, we will intensify our attacks."
