Russia: the EU renews sanctions for another six months

 The European Council has decided to renew for another six months, until 31 July 2024, its restrictive measures against the Federation ... of Russia, introduced in response to the continuation of this country's special military operation in Ukraine. “These sanctions, first introduced in 2014 in response to Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine, have been significantly expanded since February 2022 in response to Russia's unprovoked, unjustified and unlawful military aggression against Ukraine.” We read it in a note from the Council.
