South Africa makes efforts to exert more international pressure on the Zionist regime
Following the continuation of the crimes of the Zionist regime against the Palestinian nation, South Africa asked the International Court of Justice to take more urgent measures against this regime.
Vincent Maguinya, the spokesman for the South African presidency, while demanding immediate action by the International Court of Justice to prevent starvation in the Gaza Strip, stressed that more measures are needed to guarantee the safety and health of the 2.3 million Palestinians in Gaza. . The situation in the Gaza Strip is critical. The Zionist regime has not only increased the volume of its attacks, but has also closed the ways of providing aid to this belt. In this context, "Michael Fakhri", the UN special rapporteur on the right to food, warned about the worsening of the hunger crisis in Gaza and said: "Israel wants to punish all Palestinians. This is "genocide". This level of hunger has never been experienced in Gaza before. The people of Gaza are experiencing a long, slow and painful violence. Although various UN officials and many countries have reacted to the hunger of the people of Gaza and called for the creation of safe ways to help the Palestinian people, Israel continues its crimes under the shadow of the support of the United States and western countries. In this regard, South Africa, which previously filed a complaint against the Zionist regime at the International Court of Justice for violations of the Genocide Convention, once again emphasized the need for the immediate intervention of the International Court of Justice to ensure the prevention further genocide in the Gaza Strip. Since the first weeks of the Zionist regime's attacks on the Palestinians, South Africa has accused Israel of apartheid and genocide in Gaza and, in addition to the indictment, has asked the International Court of Justice to stop the Zionist regime's attacks on Gaza and establish a ceasefire. . Based on South Africa's appeal to the Zionist regime to take measures to prevent the genocide in Gaza, the initial decision of the International Court of Justice was against the Zionist regime. But in practice, Israel not only continues its attacks against the Palestinians, but already through the policy of starvation, it has officially launched the excruciating genocide against the afflicted people of Gaza. According to the United Nations, all residents of Gaza are facing starvation and currently around 378,000 people are suffering from it. In this regard, the Guardian newspaper writes: "Israel's actions show that this regime aims to destroy the Palestinians just because they are Palestinians. Intentionally depriving people of food is clearly a war crime.” The dire situation in Gaza has led the international community to call for an immediate ceasefire. Many countries have called for the cessation of Israeli attacks by forming various campaigns, however, the Zionist regime and its main supporter, the United States, are against the establishment of a ceasefire.
