Spain opposes the participation of specialized European naval forces in the US Naval Alliance
Pedro Sanchez, Prime Minister of Spain, has opposed the decision of the European Union to support the American Maritime Coalition in the Red Sea. Sanchyez has emphasized that: 'We oppose the use of European naval forces against pirates under the name of the "Atalanta" operation to protect commercial ships in the Red Sea against Yemeni attacks.
The Prime Minister of Spain at the same time has emphasized that he is not opposed to the establishment of another operation unit for the same purpose in the region. Operation Atalanta was founded by European countries in 2008; where the zone of his operations was in the Horn of Africa and the west of the Indian Ocean. Considering the actions taken by the Ansarullah Movement of Yemen in the Red Sea and there in the Bab al Mandab Sea Gate against the Zionist regime especially the attack it carried out in the port of Eilat where it blocked and attacked the ships heading to occupied Palestine (Israel); The United States, a strategic partner of Israel's aggressive regime, announced the establishment of a Maritime Alliance involving 10 countries in the world in the area with the aim of countering attacks targeting Israeli ships. Bahrain is the only Arab country in the Middle East region that is in the maritime alliance led by the United States. The United States Ministry of Defense (Pentagon) previously announced that the countries that have joined the maritime alliance have increased to 20, but without mentioning the names of those countries. Ansarullah fighters surrounded a ship that was heading towards the Zionist regime in the Red Sea The United States claims that the security of shipping in the Red Sea is under threat due to the actions of the Yemenis.
This is in a situation where the main goal of establishing the maritime alliance is to protect Israel's security. Washington believes that by establishing a naval alliance in the Red Sea, the security of the Zionists will increase. The Biden government has given the Zionist regime total control since the regime launched air and ground attacks against the Gaza Strip. The point to consider here is that Yemeni rebels have so far stopped or attacked several ships of the Zionist regime or those that were carrying aid for that regime. In fact, the Yemeni rebels have made the Red Sea completely unsafe for only the ships of the Zionist regime, while other ships travel in complete safety. Despite this, increasing security concerns in the Red Sea have led major shipping companies to have to transport their products 25 thousand kilometers away to reach Asian markets through the Cape of Good Hope. The result of this matter has increased the time of commercial sea voyages by two months and at the same time it has led various companies and governments to put it under pressure in the United States to force the Zionist regime to remove its oppressive siege against Gaza. The crimes of the Zionist regime in the Gaza Strip Majid Safataj, an analyst of Palestinian and West Asian affairs, says: After the Zionists launched an attack on Gaza, Yemen's Ansarullah is now using the peninsula as a source of pressure against the Zionist regime and its supporter, the United States; therefore, this action has caused more than 50 percent of the shipping companies to significantly change their destination or to stop any kind of cargo transportation to Israel at this time, which is dangerous for the Zionists.
The three largest European countries that are members of the Western Military Alliance (Nato), namely France, Spain and Italy, recently announced in a move contrary to Washington's goals that they will withdraw from the maritime alliance announced by the United States. The action of the three European countries shows that these countries do not trust Washington; and at the same time it is a kind of manifestation of their opposition to the American support for the Zionist regime in continuing the bloodshed in Gaza as well as to confront its action against the ceasefire in the area. The impact of these actions of the United States, especially the attacks of the Yemeni rebels in the Red Sea, have caused great losses to Western businesses and ships. The three European countries have insisted that they will only carry out an additional maritime operation that will be managed by the United Nations, Nato or the European Union and not the United States. The recent position of the Prime Minister of Spain against the presence of special marine forces in the United States Marine Alliance is also the second emphasis of the three European countries to withdraw from this said alliance. Hussein al-Ezzi, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Government of Yemen in Sana'a, said in his radio for the decision taken by the government of Madrid that: "We applaud the action of Spain to refuse to accept the lies of the United States and the United Kingdom on the issue of managing sea voyages ".
