In its statement, the US Department of Defense claimed that 13 weapons depots were targeted in the attacks of American and British forces against Yemen targets. Previously, American sources stated that the USA and the UK attacked 13 targets in different regions of Yemen with 35 attacks. The Pentagon's statement, which claimed that they would not hesitate to defend human life and the free flow of commerce in one of the world's most important waterways, continued with the claim that the latest attacks further disrupted and reduced the capabilities of the so-called "Iran-backed militias". At the same time, the US Department of Defense claimed that Washington was not trying to escalate tensions in the region. The British Minister of Defense also stated that Yemen's attacks on commercial and military ships in the Red Sea are illegal and unacceptable, and announced that this country's Royal Air Force will participate in the third round of attacks against Yemen.
