According to Reuters, the foreign ministers of the G7 Group, including the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom, as well as the European Union's foreign policy official, gathered on Saturday on the sidelines of the Security Conference of Munich. In a statement published on the website of the Italian Foreign Ministry as the temporary head of this group, Iran was once again asked to stop "assistance to the Russian army and its war of aggression against Ukraine". They have also asked all countries to stop the "supply of components and parts related to Iran's drone program", which is allegedly in line with "supporting Russia's combat actions". These claims have been raised while Iran has repeatedly stated that it is not a party to the war between Ukraine and Russia, and it is the Western countries that are fanning the flames of the conflict by sending weapons to one side of the war. Reiterating the claim of Iran's regional role, the G7 Group claimed that Iran's continued arms delivery to the Yemeni army is a violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2216 and causes the escalation of tensions in the region. In response to earlier Western claims, Iran has stressed that it does not have a "representative force" in the region and Yemeni resistance groups and the military act based on their own countries' interests. In the end, the members of the G7 Group "stressed their determination that Iran must never possess nuclear weapons". Iran has repeatedly stated that it is not seeking to possess nuclear weapons and progress in its nuclear programs has been under the JCPOA.
