The call of 19 US senators for the creation of an independent Palestinian state
19 senators of the Democratic party have called for the creation of an independent state of Palestine in their letter sent to the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
The United States senators have asked Biden to go beyond "facilitation" in the Israeli-Palestinian negotiations and establish a "courageous system" to determine the appropriate steps to establish a Palestinian state in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip. Tom Richard Carpe, who is one of Joe Biden's political allies and a senator from the state of Delaware, is the architect of the letter.
Guided by Bill Clinton's plan in the 1990s, the senators have said that an independent Palestinian state will be "without an army" if it is created. The US senators have also called for a plan to include Israel in the West Asian region, indicating efforts to continue reconciliation talks between Saudi Arabia and Israel.
The issue of the creation of a Palestinian state without an army has been discussed for a long time, and even 10 years ago, in the midst of negotiations and mediation by the United States to resolve the conflict between the Palestinians and Israel, it was claimed that Mahmoud Abbas, the head of the Palestinian Authority, agreed to establish a state of Palestine without an army against the Palestinians given several issues. However, the plan failed.
Since the time of the administration of George W. Bush, the United States made the issue of the creation of two Jewish and Palestinian states as its policy on the Palestinian issue by presenting a plan called "Road Map". However, each of the US presidents has had a different approach in this field depending on their Democratic or Republican parties. The former democratic president of the United States, Barack Obama, supported the plan to exist two dollars, while the leader after him, Donald Trump of the Republican party, who went beyond all previous limits in support of Israel, ignored the plan. Trump focused on providing favoritism, empire and mutual support to the Tel Aviv regime and increasing pressure on the Palestinians. Instead, he proposed a so-called "Deal of the Century" that included the dismembered territories of Palestine.
The important thing is that the officials of the Biden government have repeatedly supported the creation of a Palestinian state without an army as a kind of solution to the existence of two states. Also, the President of the United States Joe Biden has spoken about the necessity of implementing the plan for the creation of two Jewish and Palestinian states due to being under internal and external pressures asking him to change his attitude about Israel. Biden has been fully cooperating with Israel in the genocide against the people of Gaza.
Now, taking into account the call of 19 Democratic senators to Biden seeking the establishment of an independent Palestinian state, it seems that this issue has entered a new phase. The senators' letter was written as the aftershocks of Chuck Schumer's sharp criticism of Senate Majority Leader Benjamin Netanyahu's policies and his handling of the Gaza war are still being felt. In his interview with the New York Times, Schumer has once again criticized Netanyahu and said: The path followed by the Tel Aviv administration is too narrow, collapsing and doomed. Chuck Schumer has emphasized that: "I believe that without the help of the United States, the future of Israel will come to an end."
The President of the United States, Joe Biden, has supported Chuck Schumer, who strongly criticized Netanyahu and called for early elections in Israel.
On the other hand, Donald Trump is very angry with the position of the Democrats. Trump has claimed that the Democrats are harming Israel a lot.
It is expected that the current position of the Democrats regarding the creation of an independent Palestinian state will be faced with a strong response from the Zionist administration of Israel, especially the right wing and extremists within the administration.
