The Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC) and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) have been holding joint conferences annually since 2015 in Moscow and Beijing. It has become a kind of leading platform for Russian and Chinese experts to consider topical international issues and issues of bilateral cooperation.

The Chinese Foreign Minister, also emphasizing that they firmly adhere to dialogue, not confrontation, added: “Beijing intends, together with Moscow, to resolutely oppose the policy of the use of force and hegemony of individual states, to uphold the universal order based on the norms of international law.”
