The increase in the deterrent power of the Palestinian resistance against the Zionist regime
For decades, the Palestinian resistance movement's arsenal consisted solely of stones and slingshots against the Zionist occupiers, who were armed to the teeth. Over the past two decades, owing to the development of ballistic missiles, the Palestinian resistance has evolved into a deadly menace to Israel. Palestine's unique geography presented far greater challenges to the Palestinian resistance than Lebanon's did for Hezbollah. This is partly due to the fact that Zionist and Egyptian security forces control the Palestinian border crossings, such as Rafah.
Despite this, for the first time in April 2021, during the holy month of Ramadan, the Palestinian resistance, which by then was equipped with ballistic missile technology, launched strategic missiles against distant targets in the occupied territories.
The successful launch of these missiles during the eleven-day Seif al-Quds (Sword of Jerusalem) battle debunked the myth that Israeli air defence systems like the Iron Dome and David's Sling are invincible. The United States spent billions of dollars on Iron Dome's development and maintenance; however, reality has proven that this technology is ineffective against Hamas missiles.
If the Zionists attempt to attack Jerusalem’s Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood again like they did two years ago, the Palestinian resistance would have a golden opportunity to destroy strategic installations in Israel, particularly in the light of the ongoing domestic crisis in Israel triggered by Netanyahu's efforts to overhaul the Zionist regime's judiciary, leading to massive defections within the Israeli military-security apparatus.
