During the meeting, ideas were exchanged on a number of agenda issues of bilateral interest. Reference was made to the general situation and current developments in the region and beyond.

RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan received Toivo Klaar, the EU's special representative for the crisis in South Caucasus and Georgia. The head of the EU delegation in Armenia, Ambassador Vasilis Maragos was also present at the meeting.

As Armenpress was informed by the office of RA Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, the interlocutors discussed regional developments during the meeting.

According to the source, Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan presented the "Crossroads of Peace" project, which clearly describes the perspective, structure, logic and basic principles of unblocking transport and other infrastructure connections in the region. The interlocutors also discussed questions regarding the principles and legal bases of the demarcation process (of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border - ed.).

At the invitation of Christina Quinn, the US ambassador to Armenia, Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan had a working dinner with her on January 18. According to Armenpress, the Ministry of Defense of Armenia issued a message about this. The interlocutors discussed Armenian-American cooperation in the field of defense and regional security, as well as a number of issues of mutual interest. At the end of the meeting, Minister Papikyan thanked the Ambassador for his warm hospitality.
