The Security Council condemns the attack on the Shiite mosque in Afghanistan
Members of the United Nations Security Council have condemned the terrorist attack against the Imam Zaman (Aj) Mosque in Pul Khumri, the capital of Baghlan province in northern Afghanistan. The Daesh terrorist group has announced responsibility for Friday's explosion in the Imam Zaman (Aj) Mosque in Pul Khumri. In the explosion, approximately 30 people were martyred and 50 others were injured. According to the AAA news agency; Members of the Security Council have emphasized the importance of holding the perpetrators, organizers, sponsors and supporters of the terrorist act accountable and prosecuting them. The delegates have called on all countries to fulfill their obligations under international law and relevant resolutions of the Security Council, to fully cooperate with all leaders involved in the matter.
Terrorist attack in the Imam Wa Zaman Mosque in Afghanistan The members of the Security Council have emphasized that any terrorist act, regardless of the intention, place, time and people who carry it out, is a crime and is not legally acceptable. In recent months, the Daesh terrorist group has increased its attacks in different parts of Afghanistan, especially against Shiite sectarian areas. Although the Taliban promised to deal effectively with the Daesh group to guarantee the safety of Afghan citizens, the continued attacks of the terrorist group in Afghanistan show that the Taliban has not been able to fulfill its promises in this regard.
