The US disappointed Ukraine
Continued tension between the Republicans and the White House on the extension of new aid to Ukraine, as well as giving priority to Washington for the war in Gaza and as a result forgetting the war in Ukraine, has led the Biden government to warn Kyiv about the possibility of cutting or reducing a large amount of his aid.
Matthew Miller Spokesperson for the US State Department said on Tuesday that: We do not have a miracle budget to help Ukraine. If the Congress does not pass this bill (Biden's financial package), we will not have money to help Ukraine . The official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United States has said: We have used the available funds and in the next few weeks there will be no money left. Previously, John Kirby, Spokesman of the National Security Council of the White House, also announced the possibility of ending the budget of Ukraine this month if the parliament does not approve the bill proposed by President Joe Biden of the United States before the end of this year . Kirby emphasized that the Biden administration plans to announce another package of military aid to Ukraine this month and before the end of the year, but after that, Ukraine's budget will run out. Pentagon Comptroller Mike McCord recently wrote a letter to Congress asking to investigate Biden's $106 billion budget package. According to the bill, $61.7 billion was allocated to Ukraine. He wrote in the letter: Parliament should take action without delay regarding the additional budget of the government and doing so is in the interest of our nation and is important for the independence of Ukraine. The President of Ukraine (center) with the leaders of the European Union The United States, being an important military and weapons center for Ukraine, has been facing major differences and tensions in the parliament for several months. The Houses of Congress, which has a majority of Republican lawmakers, and the Senate, which is controlled by Democrats, have not yet passed the final budget for the new fiscal year, which began in October.
The federal government is currently operating with an emergency extension that will end in mid-January 2024. It is due to that reason that until now, the country's parliament has not passed a new budget to help Ukraine. At the same time, the majority Republicans in the parliament have blocked the approval of the budget proposed by the White House for Kyiv, and this means the end of the great support for the war in Ukraine. Republicans, regardless of their differences on the war in Ukraine, want to reduce federal government spending and believe that the Biden administration should reduce the budget and prevent the increase of the central government debt. It seems that it will be difficult to pass the financial budget of the Biden government, which includes support for Ukraine and members of Congress, especially Republicans, who give priority to the issue of the security of the country's borders. The United States government, which until now has been standing with Kyiv to defeat Russia in the war with Ukraine, insists that if Congress does not pass the budget intended by the White House within the next month, it will not be able to help Ukraine and of course if Washington's help does not reach Ukraine, it will fail only in the war with Russia. Ukrainian soldiers Ukraine complains about the decrease in Western aid to the country and has issued several warnings related to the issue. In his position on the issue, President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine has said that the conflict in the Middle East has directed the thinking of the majority of the world towards Israel and excluded Kyiv from the field. He has said that many Western countries are now in a state of doubt and hesitancy if they will provide aid to Kyiv or Tel Aviv. Pointing out that the maintenance of international aid to Ukraine is becoming more and more difficult every day, Zelensky has emphasized that this situation will leave a very negative impact on Ukraine in the battlefield. Many Western countries are now reluctant to help Ukraine or Israel. Ukraine's western-leaning president's criticism of cuts in military aid and weapons to Kyiv in its war with Russia marks a new shift by the US-led Western bloc from Ukraine to the occupied Palestinian territory after Operation Hurricane Al- Aqsa and the war of the Zionist regime against the Gaza Strip. The issue has given the rulers of Ukraine great concern. Despite the promises of continued military aid to Ukraine, the Biden government has given priority to the issue of meeting the military needs of Tel Aviv, and European countries are not ready or can no longer continue to provide military aid and weapons to Kyiv as it was before.
